The Meaningful Continuity of Life

Our past lives, although, fueled the actions and behaviors of the present life, it is considered an attachment if we're too focused on it, under Buddha's perspective.

It's a fair opinion because, logically, that part of the story has ended, the book has closed, and having given another opportunity to right things, we should let the past be the past.

This has been on my mind; to what extent do we bring our hopes and desires into a brand new life and how should we use this for learning?

And so recently, I was connected to a friend's past life at a karaoke venue (yes, of all places).

This friend is passionate about animals and has a particular interest in animal communication.

And we were just having fun with a couple of friends, making connections, and seeing what came in.

What I saw in my mind was a past life story - a lady's entire life within a few minutes.

In that life, this lady was also an animal lover, always caring for the street animals, and a person with a big heart.

Sometimes if she sees an injured stray animal, she brings them home and cares for it.

As she was still living with her family, she couldn't bring too many home for too long.

Slowly, she got married and had children, and thinking now that she had a place of her own, she brought more animals home.

However, not all of her family members are agreeable to that.

And she made a big decision, she will move out on her own to somewhere bigger and secluded, like a big farm place.

In one scene, I saw that there were many different animals; horses, dogs, cats, mice, and it was a very happy memory.

If you have pets before you would understand that animals have very innocent and childlike behavior.

Imagine you could live with animals, and have animals as your best friends, there is nothing but a lot of love and happiness.

And it was all fun until one day her health took a big turn and she passed away all of a sudden.

I saw that her soul was helpless because it was a very secluded area, not in the city and hardly anyone would be visiting this place.

After she passed, no one was there to feed and care for the animals and her soul watched as the animals died one by one.

Although she has a big loving heart, given the sudden change of events, the soul is deeply remorseful over what has happened to the animals in the end.

That probably fueled her actions and behaviors in this present life as she is interested in animal communication to help the animals speak their pain or discomfort.

Perhaps it chose a similar soul theme related to animals in this life but now, in a way to help them more effectively.

It's a very nice past life experience, when I came out of the state after connecting, I had tears in my eyes.

Although over-attachment to past life is not encouraged, I would say it is helpful to know the motivation behind our actions.

At least now there is meaning to it and the continuity of a similar theme makes this a very meaningful experience. Other than providing a service to people, we can choose to provide a service to animals too.

All in all, we're here to experience and learn, and while doing that, let's make it a fun experience.

Have you ever had any experiences that made you wonder about past lives or connections? It doesn't have to be negative, it can be a positive thing too.

For me, I like helping people because one of my past lives is the "Father of the Poor", there are several people of such titles so you won't be able to know exactly who that is. Haha. I'll share this another day.

From a higher perspective, it's not just about understanding why we are the way we are, but also about understanding what we are here to do and how we can best contribute.

It's a beautiful way to look at life; that our actions and inner motivations are part of a larger, ongoing narrative.

I love this, so amazing! Well, I hope you learn something, thank you for reading, and live well! 🧡
